Lead Carpenter/Framer - Oak and Hammer Construction

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements (Preferred but not needed)
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications
  • Assemble and fasten materials using hand tools, power tools, and equipment
  • Install doors, windows, and other exterior finishes
  • Frame walls, floors, roofs, and ceilings using various construction techniques
  • Repair or restore existing structures as needed
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion

Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics (Preferred but not needed)
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely
  • Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques (preferred but not needed)
  • Carpentry skills including framing, drywall installation, and trim work (Framing #1)
  • Familiarity with concrete forming techniques (preferred but not needed)

Job Types:

  • Full-time, Fixed term contract
  • Contract length: 2-6 months
  • Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 40 per week

French not required

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Drivers license (required)
