Executive Director - The Dauphin Friendship Centre (Dauphin, MB)

The Dauphin Friendship Centre supports the Indigenous and Non-Indigenous community through a variety of Social Programs. We are looking for a highly motivated and committed full-time Executive Director (ED) to expand our impact on the community. The ED will support and lead a team of 25 plus employees.

The ED is responsible for managing and supervising the Centre's personnel and all programs and services; delegating responsibility to appropriate program managers and ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to. They are responsible for ensuring reports to the funders are completed in a timely manner, and to seek out additional financial support as necessary. They will prepare budgets and provide the board with monthly financial reports.

They are responsible for building strong relationships with our membership, volunteers, stakeholders, and funders.

They are to develop positive working relationships with community partners.

The ED reports to the Board of Directors who develop policy and determines the future and vision of the Centre.

The successful candidate will have a Business Management Diploma and several years of related experience. They will have a proven history of positive leadership, and good communication skills. They will have a working knowledge of financial management and working within a non-profit organization. They will have an awareness of Human Resource practices and employment standards. They will possess a current clear criminal record and Child and Adult Abuse Clearances. They will have a driver's license and must have access to a vehicle.

Some evening and weekend work may be necessary from time to time. This post will remain in effect until we find a successful candidate. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
