Special Projects Coordinator - ID Fusion (Winnipeg, MB)

Type: Full Time / Summer

ID Fusion is looking to hire a Red River Métis post-secondary student to join our team as a Special Projects Coordinator. This is an opportunity to leverage your business and IT postsecondary training and gain valuable work experience with a growing and dynamic Indigenous IT company.

As a Special Projects Coordinator, a typical day might include some of the following:

  • Support the planning and organization of special projects and activities.
  • Prepares and disseminate meeting agendas and supporting information.
  • Take meeting minutes, record actionable items and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Distribute project plans and track progress.
  • Research, present ideas and make recommendations for special projects.
  • Format, word process and edit a variety of documents and materials.
  • Attend and participate in regular team meetings.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to connect with others across differences of culture, experience, identity etc.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and good attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
  • Proficient with MS Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Professional, punctual, and reliable.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and keep accurate and detailed records.
  • Students who are a good fit for this position are dynamic, approachable, knowledgeable, and open to learning about themselves and others. They will show high levels of emotional intelligence combined with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills to carry out a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and organize time effectively.
  • Ability to present data in a variety of document and display formats.
  • Ability to use research methods to identify and verify information.
  • Ability to use social & digital media to effectively communicate or respond to others.

Eligibility Requirements

This opportunity is for Red River Métis students who attended post-secondary school full-time during the current academic year and who are returning to school on a full-time basis in the upcoming academic year (part-time and distance education students do not qualify).
